Description

These pillow ends from Interwar period are made of soft silver plates, glazed in gold, that the upper-class Peranakans used during 1920-1940. The phoenix on each side of the pillow end symbolises strength, renewal and protection. Hence, it was used as a form of protection from evil spirits for their babies.
