While Kah Lim enjoys drawing the old streets of Singapore, he also wanted to cover historic places such as Jalan Besar. This place is close to his heart as his parents used to bring him and his sister to the second hand goods market when they were younger. The mixture of old historical buildings and new housing estates makes Jalan Besar very unique. The colour green was used as it represents new beginnings, health, harmony, hope and peace.
